Ingredients:
1.Oats - 1 cup
2.Besan/gram flour/Kadalamavu - 1 cup
Rice powder - 1/2 cup
3.Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
Onion - 1, chopped
Green chillies - 2, chopped
Curry leaves - a sprig, chopped
4.Water as required
Eno fruit salt - 1/4 tsp (or use baking soda)
5. Oil to deep fry
Preparation:
1. Powder the oats in a mixie. Transfer it to a bowl along with gram flour and rice powder. Combine well. Add ingredients listed as 3. Add enough water to make a thick batter. Add eno fruit salt and keep aside for 10 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a pan and drop the batter into oil using a teaspoon. Shape doesn't matter. Deep fry till golden brown and the pakodas are crisp. Drain to tissue paper.
3. The pakodas can be stored in an air tight container after it cools down completely.
